keyhandler not preserving registers

A user on IRC was following this tutorial series and noticed that keyhandler doesn't preserve ax, bx and other registers possibly used by printreg16. Can we afford to patch the tutorials individually or is it time to replace this antiquated series by something better and more complete? Glauxosdever 06:31, 26 September 2018 (CDT)

It's pretty strange for a bootloader tutorial to install a custom keyboard handler in the first place. A replacement would be nice, but I'm not sure if the replacement should be a bootloader tutorial or a general real mode development tutorial. --Octocontrabass 18:55, 5 November 2022 (CDT)
