Talk:Quick Links

Can we remove this page? I moved all the information to Specifications on the main page. (Most of it, that is. There were some dead links, and I removed all of the forum links. (How does one find those on the new forum?)) --Alboin

I think a wider discussion is needed as there are several pages involved: Quick Links Specifications OSRC Resources and probably more. I think merging the lot into one Resources page with the appropriate subheaders would be good. Many off-site links are already present in various articles so having several pages dedicated to external links is not good for organisation. Having specs and other resources in separate pages is arguable though. - Combuster 17:08, 10 April 2007 (CDT)

Resources is everything that is not a pure hardware specification, which go in Specifications. I think there's a clear distinction between the two. I am not sure about merging them... --Albion

I'm liking your idea about just a Resources page. Being, if someone's looking for information on Video hardware, they can just search for video and go to the links at the bottom of the page. Having a page just for Specifications is redundant. I think just a short and sweet Resources page would do, with non specific abstract links like osdev and OSRC. --Alboin

Just noticed Links. --Alboin
Also Kernels With Source --Alboin

I do not think Specifications redundant. Having a list with properly documentated hardware helps picking an OS developers' next goal. Since a large merge seems a good thing, I move this discussion to Talk:Resources where everything should end up. - Combuster 12:33, 10 July 2007 (CDT)
