Section 3.2 states that the VFS should translate positions into sectors and whatnot, but that seems to be the job of the native filesystem driver, no? I thought the point of a VFS was to redirect file read/writes to the appropriate filesystem driver, and the filesystem driver does all the hard work of translating positions to sectors and whatnot.
