Hi there. I'm Troy. I'm a system administrator and network engineer from Victoria, Canada. I am the lead developer of the Araxes operating system project. I am also a contributor to the Sortix operating system. I can be found in #osdev on Freenode.

I am a proponent of strong documentation and designing from a user experience perspective. There is no greater sin in operating systems development than having enough of a chain of failures from user experience downwards that the user or system administrator needs to look at the code to figure out how to use a tool or configure a feature.
