I am having trouble witht this tutorial. I am getting a version difference between gmp.h and libgmp when configuring mpfr, this might be due to me currently having gmp & mpfr installed from cygwin.

I have uninstalled all gmp & mpfr libs from the cygwin installation and will try again.

Additional section needed?

This article needs a quick blurb on detecting the package version that is already installed, for both linux & cygwin. Bewing 04:48, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
