How should multiple displays be handled? --Love4boobies 09:49, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Where did I mention a card can only have one connector? A video card has 1+ connectors and 1+ display pipes containing 1+ display engines. The end of a display pipe can in design be attached from zero to all connectors on the card. A state property will govern where a connector gets its graphics data from. - Combuster 10:26, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
UDI repository
Hi, I'm trying to fix UDI by patching pieces together and fixing changed stuff. I've included udi_gfx.h (license: public domain) to the resulting repository which is available at http://hg.ookoo.org/udi/ . Any help is welcome (I'm currently fixing the build process and will try to get udi compile on recent linux systems first). I'll keep a look here for evolutions on udi_gfx.h Magicaltux 22:15, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- It seems UDI repos suddenly appear everywhere. Solar has kindly provided a repository for continuing work on the reference implementation but there's nothing there yet - I'm currently helping Combuster with his environment while he is developing UDI GFX. There's a little more official UDI stuff going on which you already know about from IRC and hopefully everyone will find out about soon. You probably won't have any use for udi_gfx.h yet, though. Also, note that the USB part was never merged into the reference implementation - even the specification contains a few glitches because it was originally written for UDI 1.0 (which cannot be fully implemented). USB 3.0 support would also need looking over (not much work there, though) - unfortunately, I don't have close to no experience with USB so unless we find someone else to do it, it will have to wait.--Love4boobies 12:54, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Displayport?
Can we agree displayport is the new DVI?
